Attendance/ Call to Order/ Approval of Minutes
- Meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm.
- A quorum was not reached to the official meeting was
adjourned as we were 10 homeowners short. The annual meeting will be
rescheduled for April at which time those present will constitute a quorum and
elections will be held.
- Previous Minutes for Annual Meeting minutes from last
years annual meeting were not reviewed and approved.
- Fred VanBergen was introduced as the new Secretary. He
volunteered to fill the position vacated by Angela Miller for medical
reasons. He will maintain the position until elections are held.
For the benefit of the homeowners who did attend, we did
update them on recent activities. Supervisors Levandowski and Shelton along
with Ron Ragan, Township engineer were present to inform the homeowners about
the dedication process. They stressed the following:
- Dedication occurs once per year where road are deeded to
the state on Oct 1 to get proper funding.
- Dedication is prompted when the developer requests
dedication from the township
- Township typically does not take wastewater management
or sidewalks. They do take sewer and roads.
- When members of the community notice things that require
maintenance in the roads etc. they can contact the township via the Secretary
who will deliver the information to the appropriate departments.
Key updates:
- Budgets were done and the HOA Assessments for 2008 will
be kept at $250. The board voted to give owners 30 days to pay their dues
rather than 14 to hopefully increase the number paid on time.
- Landscaping was put out to bid.
- Issues with snow removal are being addressed
- Update on Sidewalk analysis – Wilkinson is performing
testing on the sidewalks. We should have data in 4-6 weeks.
- A number of successful social activities took place this
year: Garage sale, Illuminaries and Ghosting. The Beef and Beer did not get
enough interest so it was cancelled.
New
business
- Flooding of wetlands into property – homeowner advised
to contact the conservation group.
- There were break-ins within the community in Feb.
Notification via email and website were posted. Community reminded to remain
vigilant on their own property as well as their neighbors.
- Chris Bennett attends most township meetings and has
offered to let the board know if there is anything of importance. Her email
is: chris@bennettsathome.com
The meeting adjourned at 8:15pm.
